Assessing instructors’ usage of emojis in distance education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

چکیده

This research assessed instructors’ usage of emojis in distance education for high diploma students. A quantitative approach was employed comprising an e-survey consisting 11-items, one closed-ended question, and two open-ended questions. The participants were a randomly selected sample 343 students, 243 attending Al al-Bayt University (AABU) Jordan 100 students the Arab Academic College Haifa (AAC). results indicated that moderate both universities. All strongly preferred instructors to use express what is on their minds as alternative facial expressions, female more active using virtual lectures. emoji used most frequently by thumbs-up ( ). Based results, several recommendations are put forth will be value researchers workers this field.
